A Suitable Social Site 4 U

Myspace is old news. A semi-recently social network, Facebook, created a little under a decade ago, has been popular ever since. Most users of the networking system say they’d much rather use Facebook over Myspace any day. Facebook has become so popular that many people have adapted to the newly made 'connect your Facebook to your cell phones' application. Much of society today has gotten addicted to Facebook and can’t go a day without using the website, therefore Facebook owners found a new solution as opposed to the constant use of the computer.  Most people know how to use the cell phone application to update statuses or receive photo comments from a user online. Users just text what they want to the number '32665' and they say it’s easy as cake.  Most say they get addicted to Facebook in just the first day. Once the word got out about a popular new social network, people started connecting to Facebook as soon as possible. One reason someone wouldn’t get Facebook immediately would be that their parents didn’t want them to get access to a social connection website that they didn’t know much about. What they don’t know is that Facebook is a friendly mature website made for everyone and can be blocked towards users that aren’t friends with you.  In the past few years, parents have even been accessing Facebook. Friend’s parents are friends of their child and their child’s friends as well. There has come to the point where almost everybody uses Facebook. New people join every day. People who have a Facebook are able to keep in touch and connect with virtually everyone in there life. Those who don't have a Facebook, are simply missing out. Ranging in age from kids to adults, Facebook can be predicted to be popular for many more years to come.

Move Over!

There has been a complaint ever since the school year has started. Some say they like how North Central is jam-packed with many people and others get annoyed how people just run into others. An issue on tall ones have been a problem for the hallways. For the ones who cant give a little room in the hallway, they should stay to the sides. If someone is on the large side, they should not walk slower than a turtle. If not everyone walked in D hall, things would get easier for all of us. When you get stuck behind someone who is really tall and they are going at a speed of 1 mile an hour, its hard to move around. Personally, since people tend to run into be so often, I try to stay behind them so I don't get run over (the non-slow ones of course). It just saves an extra step of getting to class on time and not laying dead on the carpet in D hall. If people would walk at a normal pace like normal people, life at North Central would be so much easier.
Another issue at North Central is PDA (Personal Display of Affection). If you do choose to show your affection in the hallway, stay to the sides. I see some couples making out in the middle of the hallway and are clearly unaware that the only access to get across is by going through them. If you have a problem with excessive kissing in public, please stop. If you need to take care of it, wait till 3 o'clock. But somewhere very far away.

Abercrombie Zombie

Today, many people have had an interest in the world of certain clothing companies. Most of the teenage population have shopped at Abercrombie and Hollister stores and choosing to throw away their money. So heres how i see it; if things are so special that they have to put the logo or name on the article of clothing, they should be paying you to wear the clothes. Wearing clothing that also advertises as you wear it looks cheap. Although people think it shows that they have money and a lot of fashion, it just looks cheap in others eyes. The reason is not that I'm trying to complain about people who use their money on such mainstream clothing, it's that I'm trying to warn people that most of the clothing is cheap. If someone has not purchased an article of clothing at either of these stores, they would not know that the clothing is poorly made. For the ones that choose to not spend their money wisely, they think that since the clothing is expensive, it is made in good condition. Overall, the reason for shopping at Abercrombie and Hollister is just a way to easily shop and look "cute." I don't understand why people have to buy clothing when it gets worn out so easily. If people start shopping at Marshalls or places where they sell that kind of clothing for decrease in price, everyone would be saving a lot of money. Buying a shirt for 40 dollars is ridiculous, and the jeans don't even fit half the people I know. People sit around and stereotype people who wear this brand of clothing, and I'm sure most of the people who wear Hollister and Abercrombie don't want to seem as other people see them.
